A.J. White, MD

Dr. White is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical treatment of retina conditions. A Tampa native, he graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where he also did his internship.

He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a two-year surgical retina fellowship at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

Dr. White has published in several medical journals and presented research at multiple national conferences, including the Association of Research and Vision in Ophthalmology. He is a Sub-Investigator for multiple clinical trials in the practice dealing with diabetic and macular degenerative disease.

Dr. White is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American Society of Retina Specialists. He currently serves as an officer for the Tampa Bay Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. White has clinics in Wesley Chapel, Tampa, and Saint Petersburg. He performs surgery primarily at Florida Hospital in Tampa.
