25 Gauge Vitrectomy for Stage 4a ROP Progressing Tractional Retinal Detachment

 

This 4 month old baby was born 3 months premature.  She had laser treatments for ROP and this left eye developed a progressing macula-on tractional retinal detachment.  This video shows a temporal approach to the vitrectomy using 25 gauge instruments and placing the infusion between the 2 instrument trochars for maximal intra-operative control.
