Scott Pautler, MD
Dr. Pautler is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases and surgery of the vitreous and retina. He graduated with high honors from the University of Florida where he was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma honor society and was listed as an outstanding student in Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. He was selected for early admission into medical school at the University of South Florida where he served as president to the freshman medical school class. His postgraduate education included internship at the University of South Carolina and residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Florida. He continued his training at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami completing a fellowship in medical retina and macular disease as well as a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery. He has demonstrated his commitment to the care of patients with diabetic retinopathy. He served as president of the Florida affiliate of the American Diabetes Association.
He continues to participate in clinical research and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of South Florida. He has been named 9 times in the listing of Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Pautler has clinic in Tampa and Temple Terrace. He performs surgery at University Community Hospital in Tampa.
