		Toxoplasmosis Toxoplasmosis is an infection that is the cause of most cases of inflammation (uveitis) in the back of the eye. The photograph on the right shows an eye with active, acquired toxoplasmosis who is having a recurrent episode 3 years after his initial episode. He saw an increase in floaters for a month and then noticed a shadow in his vision on the day he had this photograph.
